Receiving a breast cancer diagnosis brings forth numerous questions for both the patient and their relatives. Finding relevant information can be daunting due to the abundance of dry and technical content available online. AstraZeneca sought assistance in creating a website to provide patients with greater clarity about the stage of their disease through visualization. Using an interactive timeline, we presented a clear overview of the different stages while integrating information specific to each patient's case, spanning from diagnostics to therapy and aftercare. Patient input played a pivotal role in refining the website's tone of voice, look and feel, as well as its interactive features.

Mobile approach

With the information patients receive from their oncologist about their disease, the search for more relevant information often begins on a mobile device. Due to the constraints of limited screen space, we needed to be strategic with our interface elements and incorporate app-like interactive features to ensure the visualization remains the focal point of the page.
